This large colander is hand-carved from walnut wood, and we love using it to strain hard-boiled eggs, pasta, and the like.

During the manufacturing process, the wooden strainer is soaked in water several times and sanded repeatedly, which is why our product remains truly silky-smooth for a long time. Hand washing is recommended to ensure the product’s longevity. The strainer is treated with edible flaxseed oil. If fine fibers form on your ladle after several years of use, you can sand it with 600-grit sandpaper and then apply linseed oil.

This is a representative example of the ladle you will receive. Slight variations in color and grain are normal. The beauty of wood comes from its highly varied grain patterns—something we obviously cannot control.
